INSURANCE CODE FOR TRANSEAR
« on: September 27, 2012, 07:35:30 pm »
I have decided to go with the TransEar and am in the process of getting everything in order.  I have contacted my insurance company and they tell me they need the procedure code for TransEar before they can make a decision as to whether they will cover it or not.  I have emailed my ENT, my Audiologist and TransEar, but was wondering if anyone knows what the code is and has anyone gotten their insurance to cover it?

From what I know the TransEar typically isn't covered by insurance - unless you have a clause that says they'll pay for hearing aids.

Most policies don't have such a clause, but a few do.  Hope yours does.
