Dr Shahanian
« on: June 21, 2012, 10:57:03 pm »
My husband is recently diagnosed with AN. We have gotten 4 opinions so far, the last one with Dr. Shahanian in LA at the Skull Base Institute. Has anyone had their surgery done by him? What was your experience? He almost sounds too good to be true. He uses a less invasive procedure with an endoscope. anyone?

Search the Forum for posts about SBI (Skull-Based Institute) and Dr. Shananian - you'll find several.

Endoscopic AN surgery isn't widely done - but who knows, it may be in the future.  Those on the Forum who went to SBI seem to be very happy with their outcomes.

Dr. Shananian is somewhat of a controversial doctor; think that's in one or more of the posts you'll find if you search.
