Eye numbness on AN side
« on: September 12, 2011, 07:47:41 pm »
I am nearly 9 months post CK...still have facial numbness.  Goes down the right side of face to the right side of my chin. The last few days my right eye is making me nuts. I first noticed when putting eye liner on the lower lid and having no feeling-so weird. Now the eye has a twitch. Not constant but several times a day. And, now my right nostril is numb. When oh when will it all just settle down. My last MRI ( June) showed some swelling but also showed the beginnings of necrosis. And I'm still walking cockeyed. Recently on the streets of Manhattan my husband kept re-directing me as I start off walking straight and then all of a sudden on a slant.  I wonder how long it will take until all has settled down to some kind of normalcy. Thanks, Joan

Hi.  The numbness may have to do with the trigeminal nerve being upset.  Mine is sort of laying on top of the AN and i will have this annoyance all of my life.  Some fun...

Joan, I can't answer your question but I can tell you that I still don't feel anything in my injured eye. I was operated for the last time three years ago. I am used to it though and don't notice it.
