Drug Shows Promise in Nervous-System Tumor Treatment
« on: August 15, 2011, 08:52:03 am »
I came across this article on new treatment for N2, but not classified as an option in this forum.

Anyone has additional info on this, and if works for non-N2 AN tumour?

Avastin has been in clinical trials and did think heard of someone not in a trial being given it but it was used for NF2 to help with the hearing loss. It did help some but not all.       It is very very expensive.    It has been talked about some at the last 2 AN symposiums.         I also now have read where it is wanted to be discontinued for breast cancer users due to the bad side effects.     I did not know if the dosage range varied.             I have not researched it alot as my NF2 would not be a candidate for it.                More might be mentioned here by others.
