I had it done at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.  Dr. Netterville.  The surgery lasted maybe 1 1/2 hours.  Twilight anesthesia.  Spent one night in hospital for observation.  Minimal pain the first day.  No pain meds after that.  Back to work on day 2.

Removed 90-95% in a 32 hour surgery. Two weeks in ICU.  SSD Left.
