lower lip sensation

I had surgery 3 years ago for a parotid gland tumor in the same area.  I experienced  temporary paralysis in the lips and some of the facial muscle.  I don't have it anymore but when the feeling started to return that is exactly how it feels.  So that is a good sign.  Another sign that I noted, and this is weird, is that when I rubbed my jawbone, I could feel it in the tip of my ear.  The ear area is permanently numb however and sometimes I feel those "twangs" and know that the nerves are slowly regenerating.  Good luck.
