Frustration

Well last week 12/8 was supposed to be my BAHA "gotcha" day, unfort. my dispute with insurance and my docs office has left me with a $500 "fitting fee" for the BAHA, and until I have $500 to pay them, I do not get my BAHA.  So now I have the abutment and no BAHA!  It's Christmas time, I'm moving and going through a divorce so the "extra" $ won't be there any time soon......just so frustrating to be sooooo close. :(

Oh Melissa...I am so sorry...that just stinks!  Keep your head up...just think of this way: it will be SO MUCH SWEETER when you finally get it & maybe by then insurance will pay more!

I am so sorry that you are in this situation with the BAHA.  One Christmas many years ago I went through a divoce, moving, and all the other things that go along with that.  Everything combined for you makes it real tough.  Just know that your AN friends are here for you to vent.

Melissa, ask your HR department to file an appeal with the insurance company. What exactly happened? Shouldn't the insurance and the doctor's office have been in agreement before the abutment was placed?
