malignant schwannoma in frontal and ethmoidal bones
« on: September 06, 2005, 02:03:32 pm »
Hi
A very good friend,  58 years old has a malignant schwannoma located in the ethmoid and frontal bones. The diagnosis was made by biopsy made in Lisbon (Portugal) and re-analysed in Boston. She has been operated first by the nose to extract a little tumor and one week ago to try to extract the tumor: she had a partial ressection of the frontal bone. The 28 Septembre radiotherapy will be started.
We are in a total agony and we don't know what is the best for our dear friend. Can you help us?
sorry for my bad english...
Thanks a lot

I am not a doctor but I would highly recommend contacting the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  I flew to MN last week and met with Dr. Link and Dr. Pollock, they have excellent experience!  People fly in from all over the world for Mayo Clinic.

Nini01 and cin605,
I had my surgery on August 6,  2008 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH also.  I would strongly recommend this hospital.  I had Dr. Kadir Erkmen and Dr. Morrison, a fantastic team......Good Luck on your decision.....
