Has anyone seen the musical "A New Brain"?
« on: October 10, 2010, 06:24:35 pm »
I noticed that the Syracuse University Drama students will be performing "A New Brain" in May 2011.  A composer discovers he has a brain condition requiring surgery so he writes & sings songs about the experience including one number performed while entering the MRI machine.

The autobiographical musical is by William Finn & opened off-Broadway in 1998.

(spoiler alert: the medical condition wasn't AN -- but I thought it resonate with those of us who have had or thought about having surgery).

Greg,

I've never seen it ( or even heard of it), but it sure would be fun to have a show tune to sing during my next MRI!   :D

Maybe we can have the play performed for the next symposium?
