I am just stopping by to say hello and welcome!
Since i am in Watch & Wait mode, i cannot answer your questions about surgery...
But it sounds like you are in good hands and have a solid plan going.

Will you have someone helping you after surgery?  I am told that "the first three days" don't count - i have had other types of surgery and can at least relate to this statement.

It sounds like you are describing Trigeminal nerve issues-I do not remember what number nerve that is. I do not know if surgery will resolve those symptoms as the only symptom I had pre surgery was tinnitus and mild hearing loss. Maybe someone else can chime in on that. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!
