one year today
« on: April 02, 2009, 08:42:23 pm »
Hi to all of my AN buddies,
I had my one year follow-up MRI and MD appointments today, exactly 1 year after my surgery and I am thrilled to report all clear!  they really feel my AN originated on my facial nerve not on the vestibular nerve which apparently only 3% of all ANs originate.  So...I am more unique than I thought!  This is also why the docs feel that my facial nerve is taking a long time to recover.  I am still seeing improvements.  Just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your encouragement and support over the past year.  I will continue to check in and look forwrd to meeting many of you in Chicago!
Fondly,
Hope

Hi Hope!!!!  Great to read your post.  I am so happy for you and the great news that your MRI was clear.  I just had my 1 year MRI as well, and got good news too!
I've been checking in on this site every so often... so it was nice to see your post.

How's the hubby and kids?  I'd love to catch up!

On a different note, I have to second Hope's comment to everyone.  The amount of support I received from my AN family was tremendous and I can never thank you all enough!!!

Mary

Hi Hope-

Wow - can't believe it has been a year!  You were one of the very first people I talked to and I remember talking to you very shortly after your surgery - you have such a special place in my heart.  I couldn't believe that you were willing to talk to me just a week after you had surgery.  I am so excited to hear that you are going to Chicago - so are Willie and I!  Can't wait to meet you in person.

hugs,
Debbi
