wonky head
« on: February 28, 2017, 02:47:32 pm »
My middle fossa surgery was in December 2009 at HEI.
Lately, I am having more and more problems with wonky head.
I don't know if it is due to my eyeglass prescription no longer being right,
whether I have a re-growth, or what?   I'm not quite sure what to do
about it since my surgery was out of state and I am not really connected
to anyone here in Salt Lake who might be of help.   Any advice? i know those
of you who have had surgery understand "wonky head", but to discuss it with
a medical doctor, what exactly is it called?  Anyone here who has had surgery
who is also an Md, who can advise me?

Thanks.
6mm AN left side, diagnosed Sept 22, 2009
Middle Fossa  December 8th 2009,  Drs. Brackmann and Schwartz.
Facial nerve preserved, tumor out, SSD. tinnitus.

Hi Tamster .....

Although wonky head is probably more descriptive ;D, it is the feeling of disequilibrium.

Question:  when was your last MRI?  If you are having consistent new or returning symptoms, it may be time to have another MRI to make sure nothing weird is going on inside.

None of us are medical professionals (unless we also have an AN) on this forum so it would be a good idea to check in with your HEI doctors as to the next step.

Thoughts and prayers .....

Thanks, Clarice. I do recall reading a post by an Md who also had an acoustic neuroma, but
it is possible that it was on another site.
