Hi, I don't post often but,
thought I would share my 1 year MRI update with you all. Good news, it has gotten smaller!! My first MRI done back in June 2005 when we discovered "it", the measurements were 15mm x 25mm x 17 mm left side and against the pons. Had Cyberknife done in Oct 2005 at Barrows (awesome Drs Daspit, Kresl and Porter); and 6 month MRI to follow in Apr 2006. "It" measured 19mm x18mm x 19mm with some darkening in the center. Now at 1 year Oct 2006, "it" measures 10mm x 17mm x 12mm! So I am very excited with these results, I still have to go for a hearing test, I did have slight hearing loss in that left ear and I still have tinnitus (which can be annoying at times). Just to note, the first doctor I saw did not even consider radiation for me; I did some personal research (internet, library etc), read many posts here and found doctors that could give me unbiased recommendations for how to contend with "it".
Thanks to all for sharing your experiences and knowledge it has been a blessing for me.
Cheers,
Sue (Las Vegas)
