fascia lata sling transplant with wrong surgeon
« on: September 29, 2008, 06:38:44 pm »
After living with facial paralysis and a 12/7 transfer for 24 years I was convinced by Elliott Rose a plastic surgeon in NY that a fascia lata sling transplant would give me a huge improvement.  I had the surgery in Dec of ’06 and after 5 corrective surgeries, two by Dr. Byrne at Johns Hopkins and one by Dr. Lisman an eye specialist in NY, I am still dealing with pain and a result that gave little or no improvement.  I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had this surgery with Rose and if anyone is thinking of having it to please find someone else.

Im sorry to hear that.  A sling was suggested to me because of my partial paralysis but then she said that it wasnt that significant to get one
Have faith!
