Jan,

Awww...shucks!  I'll do everything in my power for Jenni and I to be there this time.  I really regretted not going this past year but didn't realize how much so until it was over.  Now I know and I'll make every attempt to not repeat that mistake.  I got dibs on the ANA Leer swinging down to Houston to pick us up..  Phyll will do it just because she likes us so much.  Right Phyl?  ;)

Regards,
Brian

No, Kay, Pooter is taking you to France - on the moderator's leer jet  :D

Sounds like Phyl is trying to keep something secret.  Come on, Phyl, spill the beans.  You know the secret's safe with all 4,168 members of the Forum  :D

Saralynn -

forgot to say earlier that the restaurant you spoke of sounds good for a Forum get-together.  I'm actually relieved that the symposium will be in June because I can spend a few extra days there.  If it was in August, I'd be in Boston on business right around that time and would probably be late like I was to the symposium in Chicago (since I was in San Diego on business up until the morning of).

Phyl you definitely need to be at the symposium.  We are planning a huge all-night party in the room you and Capt Deb will be sharing.  Bring the bloke along!

I just can't get excited about OHIO (sorry all of you that live there)...I want to see everyone from here but I think a gathering in Mexico on a beach would be MUCH better!!

I have a big birthday every year!  I think Phyl's bloke owes me a few trips!   ;D

I agree Kay, someplace with a beach would have been nice....where's the suggestion box for 2013?  Maybe they figure if we were on a beach, no one would actually attend any of the sessions...unless they held them on the beach!  I think of everything.

I saw the hotel rates by looking at the hotels own website.    So it's not on the ANA website.    You weren't not seeing something Jan.        I always look at them as like to see a pic of the room and what I have to look forward to for the rare time I do get to go to a very nice one.                   I used to love it when Samantha Brown had the Great Hotel show on the Travel Channel.       One can always dream.                  Cheryl R

Thanks for the clarification, Cheryl R.

IMO if the symposium was held in a place with a beach it would be too tempting to those attending.  The last symposium I barely attended the sessions because I was too busy socializing with my fellow forumites - not that that wasn't a great thing - but I missed a lot of very good sessions and some very valuable information.  Throw a beach in (and no, I don't consider what Chicago has a beach) and I don't think I'd make it to any sessions.

Canada, France... what's the difference?  They all speak French and drink wine anyhow..  (No offence intended to anyone who's from France or the various Canadians that I know we have on the forum)..  :)
