That time again!
« on: August 03, 2011, 08:56:01 am »
Yearly MRI again on Aug. 16th. My 4th yearly coming in W+W. This year I eliminated the Gladinolium which seemed to bother me a little last year. My initial MRI was without contrast. If the time comes when an abnormality occurs and I do need to intervine I`ll go back to with contrast. They did put a few more additions to IAC exam, CISS images? and Fiesta sequence?. In any case I do feel very good and hoping to hear that magic word "stable" Best wishes, Mickey

Hi Mickey...

Looking forward to hearing that you have received good news re all is stable and that you are on your way into year 5!

Just interested to know what adverse effect you had with the Gladinolium contrast added?

Best Regards

Hi Derek! It wasn`t anything real serious, I just didn`t feel myself for about a month. Kinda aches and pains on a low grade... Thanks, Mickey

Just got my brains examined! I was in the machine for longer than I expected. Took a few extra pictures??? The good part is we didn`t use any dye this time. Will save the dye only when absolutly needed. Waiting for results in near future. Whew....Mickey

Mickey ~

Glad you got through another MRI ordeal - with no dye.  I hope the results are, well, boring (no change).

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
