I had translab surgery on November 16 at Allegheny General with Doctors Chen and Aziz.  They are great and everything went well.  I would recommend them to anyone.  The hospital staff also was very good to us.  Contact me through a private message if you want to ask me any questions.  Sandy

There is a Center of Excellence in Pennsylvania http://www.anausa.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=169&Itemid=123

The ANA doesn't recommend any AN docs or facilities, but they do designate Centers of Excellence - which means that the facility/docs must meet certain criteria crucial for the treatment of ANs.

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Madison,  I had middle fossa surgery at Allegheny General by Dr. Chen and Dr. Aziz.  Great surgeons.  I am 6 month post op and doing well. I can't hear alot out of my right ear but no facial issues or vertigo.  Nancy alias tweety

Yes, I had a translab surgery at the Univ of Penn in September.  Drs. Kevin Judy and Douglas Bigelow.  Although, Dr. Judy has left Univ of Penn.  Everyone was wonderful and very informative and my family said that all the staff at the hospital were very compassionate while I was in surgery.  Who are your doctors?  I would highly recommend Penn.  Please let me know if you have any questions.......KathleenAnna
