As another AN patient who recently celebrated my 2-year MRI showing definite necrosis, I share your elation and congratulate you on this not-so-small victory in your AN journey.  Way to go, Phyl!  :)

No one can predict the future but I certainly hope and pray that you have many more such encouraging MRI scans.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

WOW!  Congrats, Phyl!  I, too, wasn't hear for the first day, but I've been continuallly encouraged by you and your posts.  I'm very happy for you!  That is GREAT news!

PS All this good news is what I need so I don't think about my truck that was almost broken into, lock broken, and how much it's gonna cost me to fix.. ugh!  At least they can't tell me I have a brain booger too! ;)

Swelled to 2.5 cm and darkened thru center on latest MRI's, Dec 2007 and Mar 2008
Shrinking! back to 2 cm, Aug 2008
Still shrinking (a little), I think about 1.7 cm now, Aug 2009

Profoundly deaf suddenly on AN side with vertigo January 3rd 2008.

the key will be next Monday's appt at BI with the radio/neuro team.... keep all appendages (ie: fingers, toes, legs, etc) crossed for good luck!.... if I get the news me thinks I'm gonna get, free rides for all on the Moderator Leer Jet! w00t! :)
