Nikki,

I hadn't read  all the posts in this thread until just now.  I am truly sorry to hear that your father is also so ill.  I truly hope that he gets better.  Please know that you and your family are also in my prayers.

Just want to update everyone on my brother. He is still in very serious condition and has been moved to a larger medical center. His heart has suffered alot of damage and he is being treated for two clots in his legs. He is still paralyzed and they are still doing tests to figure out exactly what is going on. He has osteomyelitis (bone infection) in his spine and they are doing a cervical MRI tomorrow. It's a day by day situation and we are just trying to deal with it. Thanks for all of your support.

I'm so sorry this has happened. I will keep my fingers crossed that the doctors can find out what is going on and help your brother recover. Sending you cyber strength! ---sorry the zzzz was meant to zap you with strength but I realized after that it might be taken for snoozing...which was not my intent..I'll shut up now...  :-[

Lauren,

I'm sorry to hear that things have gotten even worse for  your brother.  Hopefully they will be able to find the source of the osteomyelitis and paralysis and treat both things quickly and effectively.  Have they put filters in his legs to prevent the clots from moving?  Please keep us updated and know that you and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

My brother Michael, 58 years old, passed away this morning at 3 am. He went peacefully after three weeks of pain. May God bless him. So hard, losing my mom and two brothers within 7 years. Brainwreck is here- need to close my eyes.

Lauren .....

You have been through so much, especially these last three weeks.  My heart goes out to you.  58 is much too young so that makes it even more difficult for you and the family.

Many thoughts and prayers for peace for you and the family and friends of your brother.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your brother.  Try to take heart from knowing that he is free of pain - and that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many people, including me.

My sympathies to you and your family at this time.  My father was 57 when he died from heart problems.  Now he would have had his bypass surgery and been good to go for some years more, but in 1972, I guess that wasn't a very common procedure.  I am sorry for your loss.
