Four Years Ago
« on: July 03, 2011, 07:02:41 am »
Yesterday was my 4th anniversary of eviction of my AN ... day was uneventful ...

got up thinking about what I had been doing , when I went into surgery and later in the day the time I got out of surgery ...just a reflective day with out the minor melt downs I have had the last 3 anniversaries ... I guess that means I am getting better ...

Soundy ~

Congratulations on passing your 4th AN surgery anniversary!  I trust that you are getting better.

I passed my fifth surgery anniversary in June and, as usual, with no real notice.  I'm well aware of my surgery date but don't consider it worthy of more than a passing thought.  I assume this is due to the fact that I not only enjoyed a good surgery outcome but from the day my AN was discovered and surgery was clearly indicated, I just wanted it over with so I could get back to my normal life.  I've been blessed to be able to do that so anything more than a brief thought on my AN surgery anniversary seems excessive.  I believe that's healthy - and it works for me.  I'm pleased to learn that it seems to work for you, too.  :)

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Jim , I think that had I had a less rocky outcome surgically my anniversary would have gone less noticed ... I guess I use it as sort of a gauge for improvement ... this year has had bumps but few compared to the first three ...

I am so thankful for this place and everyone here...
