Dx 2.6 cm Nov 2012, 35% hearing loss.  Grew to 3.5 cm Oct 2013.  Pre-op total hearing loss, left side tongue numb.  Translab Nov 2013 House Clinic.  Post-op no permanent facial or other issues.  Tongue much improved.  Great result!!

How can u afford 5 surgeries, do u have a HMO or a PPO?

Walnut size AN removed on June 30 2014 at Stanford with Dr Chang and Dr Blevins facial paralysis, no blink ,no hearing but otherwise feel good otherwise

I had teacher great insurance and then retired on disability with Medicare and Medigap AARP.

It's still expensive on your emotions.     If I did it right in the first place would only have needed one.
Bummer.    So my friends, keep it at ONE.

Hi Mei Mei - sorry I missed this thread.  Please don't second guess what it could've been like with GK, etc.  I've done it myself & find it pointless, just brings me down.  I don't know what to say about what has been happening to you, I can't imagine being in pain daily, my heart goes out to you.  I'm wondering about a tens unit for the pain?  I don't know, just throwing it out there.  Maybe see a reputable pain doctor ?  Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I was to a pain doctor…4 or 5.    They all recommend them but I am allergic to Titanium so can't have one.   I went to the Pain clinic at Cleveland Clinic and the doctor shop the kenelog and lidocaine through my titanium mesh instead of below so my heart stopped and I stopped breathing and my eyes dilated.   They kept me there for an overnight stay for observation and sent home to DC on the plane.

Am really depressed tat I have to live the rest of my life like this and don't know how to move forward especially without family.   Family is important.    If you have that, it is half the battle.   Most people don't want to hear the post surgical complaints but believe me, they are there.

Try not to have a big surgery.
