Katie,

You are in my thoughts and prayers.  You are in very capable and experienced hands.  I had Dr. McKenna and Dr. Barker as well. As you know you will be very tired and out of it for a little while. Your younger and I know you will bounce back quickly. Best wishes and we will see you in November. Hugs and hugs.

Good luck Katie, hope everything goes well for you!!! How old are your children? I had my surgery at the end of April and my daughter seems to have adjusted really well. The other night when reading her a story she held her hand against my cheek so that I could say those darn p's b's and f's without my cheek puffing out and the word getting lost.It was such a touching moment...
I have most of my old energy back now and can keep up with her again.Kids are so amazing!!!Their little smiling faces will help you recover faster I'm sure! ;D

Katie,
Good luck and best wishes. I will say a special little prayer for you in the morning and please do keep us posted. Since you have no hesitations I feel sure you have made the best decision. Take care and lots of wishes for a speedy recovery!

This site is amazing with the way it brings everyone together. I've never met anyone here personally but I feel like one of my own family members is going in tomorrow.

Thank you so much to everyone!  The support and friendship here is amazing, and it means a lot to me.  I'll go in tomorrow knowing I have everyone here cheering me on!

I won't be online much the rest of the day.  Too much to do!  LOL!  Phyl and Crazycat/Paul are included on my husband's email list, and they have my permission to post anything they hear about me here.  I also have a CarePages page set up - KatieANSurgery.  Being a former techie, I'm addicted to my 'Net connection so I'll be back online as soon as I can.

To quote Paul from our conversation the other night - "See you on the other side!"
