Just a chance, but I haven't visited my daughter since she moved to Chicago in October.  I normally forbid leaving NH in the summer since it's the only decent weather, but perhaps a two-day trip could be planned.  I'll just give and get cell numbers and hook up with you guys at some point if I'm there.  Probably want to hang with Katie for some of the time.

NH in the summer months work... and hoping the "windy city" will provide a nice breeze on the hot August days.

Remind me to speak to the ANA about next symposium in Boston.... yep, works for me! :D

hmmmmm...

Pro list:  I could stay with mom in Alpharetta (no hotel room required)
Con List: my hair can't take the humidity there in August (you've seen my hair!!!!!!!)
Pro List:  reason to see the family
Con list:  good reason to avoid the family! (ok, hit me for that later!)
Pro List:  the ANA office wouldn't have to schlep the info and such all over an airport
Con List:  gives the ANA office a good reason to escape to... um... Boston! :)

Ok, Boston it is for the next symposium! :D

remind me to tell the ANA office.. I'm sure they'd appreciate knowing! :)

Phyl,

You don't have to worry about your hair getting out of control - you have a hat!   ;)

I think our hat photo should be taken at the tea!  Pinkies up!

OMG!  That would be a total scream - knit hats at tea.  The staff at The Drake would talk about us for years and years :D

Boston in 2011 works for me, Phyl.  But I'd also like to suggest Orlando.  We could all make a trip to WDW to ride on Space Mountain.

I haven't been on a rollercoaster since my AN surgery - maybe it's about time I tried it  ;D

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

I'll second Orlando, but not for WDW, but Universal Studios.  Way better coasters there, and you can buy BEER!

Universal - absolutely!

Let's not forget City Walk - Lori, Kay, and I can go to Margaritaville - Capt. Deb and the other Parrotheads, too!  ;D

Great idea, Ernie!

Thanks for the link, Sara!

Sorry but the 2005 AN symposium was in Disney World.            Now of course it could be a repeat.  2003 was in Anaheim.     You hear me say this will be my 4 th sympsoium this summer but now you know partly why.           I would never have got my husband to go unless it was related to something like this.                 We had never been to Disney World so our Michigan daughter met us down there and she has been back 4 times now.                                  In Philly in 2007,they announced the next one was in Chicago so maybe we will know at this coming one.

Okay, Cheryl.  Now the question becomes "Where does your husband really want to go?" - after Chicago of course.

If you tell us, we'll all put in a good word with Judy V @ the ANA  ;D

Actually I asked Judy once how they determine where the symposiums are held.  It seems they are held in the city of the doc and/or medical group that is sponsoring that year's symposium.  For example, this year's symposium is sponsored by Dr. Wiet (Ear Institute of Chicago) and Northwestern Medical school.  2007 was sponsored by the docs from Philadelphia - I can't recall their specific names.

I think that HEI needs to sponsor 2011 - that way we can all go to LA and meet David, Nancy and Lainie  ;D

HEI sponsored the Anaheim one.     But some of them have been to all the ones I have been to.      Slattery does the small NF2 session.     They walked around among the crowds at Anaheim and I talked to Brackman and Friedman.                  Slattery has been a help that I know my neurotologist is right on with the right NF2 care.
Where does my husband want to go?       No where and dare to spend money! Maybe back to Alaska. He was there on his own.     We never went anywhere last summer when it was our 35th anniv and I had my hearing back.                   Think the last overnight trip was Minneapolis Nov 2007.      Other than my dr visits which is usually overnight as see my sister when we are down in the area.
Now I would like Boston as have always wanted to go there too.                         Cheryl R

Okay, I'm changing my vote from Florida to Boston.

I have a very good friend who lives near Boston, who I'd love to see.

Hate the airport, though  :P

Alright, alright, I guess Boston's ok if no one wants to come to Atlanta.  It is beautiful up there!

(Phyl, my hair is already expanding and frizzing just knowing the humidity is almost here!  I have told my husband for years that I need to move out west just for my hair.  Of course, then I'd have even more snakes to worry about...but, I'm really getting off topic...sorry :-*)
