I am sure that as you read this you are now on the "other side".  I am hoping that your surgery went smoothly and all is well.  Let the healing begin! :)

Hi, Amanda ~

Thanks for having the presence of mind (going into surgery) to start a thread.  We appreciate it.  You and your family are in my prayers and those of many others.  'See you on the other side!'

Amanda ~

Following Clarice's lead, I checked your CaringBridge page and verified, via your husband's entry Friday morning, that you were going to be moved from the ICU into a regular room and that, all things considered, you were doing quite well.  I'm truly grateful that prayers were answered and that the surgery and now, your recovery are going so nicely.  Rest and recover at your own pace, Amanda, knowing that you and your family remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Doing so well! Got my dressing off today and already showered and changed into my pjs! Off IV and now down to pain and nausea meds every 4 hours--that last 30 minutes can sometimes be challenging, but it's an occasional front forehead headache, incision pain, and some yrouble focusing which leads to slight nausea. No vomiting...no facial issues...have the sensation back on my left side of my face! God is good and I've felt your prayers! Love to my ANAa family...feeling for those of youveho just went through this (I.e. Marianna) or who's going through it soon (I.e. Clarice)!

Hi Amanda .....

I've been following your Caring Bridge page and it sounds like you are doing well, except for the headaches, which I pray will soon be a thing of the past.

Thanks for your well wishes and my prayers continue for you to have an uneventful recovery.  Home soon, I hope!

Amanda,
AWESOME report, and posting yourself. You are doing incredibly well. ;D
Now that you are probably going to be thinking of going home, or are already there, make sure NOT to overdo it, if you are feeling so inclined to do.
Your hospital recovery is amazing. I just read caringbridge posts. Remember the rules when you go home. Rest, sleep, walk, eat, poop, :P repeat cycle and no housework or bending completely over!!!

Sounds like you did great. Just relax and be a patient...let everyone take good care of you! You'll be up and around pretty soon.
