I am scheduled for 24 hrs in ICU and about 4 days as in-patient. Then I need to stay in Los Angeles area for about a week befor I return to my home in Portland Oregon. I want tgo thank all of you for your advice and care and especiallly for all the wonderful gifts you brought to my pity party :)  :)  :)

Good luck Thursday, Larry.

I never realized you lived in Portland Oregon, like me. You should come to the next ANA Portland meeting - it just happens to be on facial issues. Here is a post on it:

Just think, you would get to meet Daisy Head Maisy (4cm in Pacific Northwest), and find out her real name!

Hey Larry-

Good luck this week!  Although I am not a fellow-Oregonian, my parents are, and I love to visit.  I am thinking that when I come out there next year we may have to all try to get together! Meanwhile, tell the docs at HEI to take veyr good care of you - and post when you can see straight!

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Hi All,

I just got a call from Larry's wife Linda to say that he got out of surgery a few hours ago and is doing very well. The doctors were able to remove the entire trigeminal neuroma. He has a little bit of numbness in his lower jaw, but no hearing loss and no facial problems. Since Larry won't be posting for a while, she asked that I pass on the good news.

Larry - looking forward to seeing you back on the forum as a "post-postie." :)

Wishing you a speedy recovery - and lots of long naps!

Thanks for the inside scoop, Nancy.  ;)

It sounds like Larry did well; I'm sure he mainly went down to CA for the weather, since it is rainy, rainy, rainy here in Portland. I would take those naps in a hammock at the beach if I were him.  8)
