The most intense dreams I had were after surgery(not AN surgery.) and they were giving me sleeping pills at night.  When I was slowly waking up I would have these wild dreams...vivid bright colors.  Trippin' out, dude!  My theory was that most of the night my dreams were probably suppressed by the drugs and when the drug started to wear off, the brain went into overdrive to fulfill it's need to dream.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it! HA.

Yes Sue,

I've come to the conclusion that—at least in my case—my most vivid experiences have come to me "au naturale" when my mind is free and clear of any controlled substances.

I had dreams as a toddler that are as deep and sophisticated as any that I've had as an adult. I remember some of them and have written them down.

I remember reading about an experience the great Swiss Psychiatrist C.G. Jung had described in his autobiography, "Memories, Dreams and Reflections". He describes in great detail a dream that he had as a toddler when he was way too young to consciously know anything about symbolism or mythology; a dream so vivid and powerful that it drove him to embark on his career in Psychiatry, creative research and formulation of his groundbreaking theories of the Anima/Animus and "Collective Unconscious".

When I read his book in 1981 it was nothing short of a personal revelation for me, for I had experienced similarly powerful dreams as a child.

C.G. Jung was a great man!

Crazycat, you are no doubt one of the "special people".  You may have a psychic bent and it seems that revelations come to you in dreams.  In the far distant past you would have been a shaman, a prophet or something along those lines.  You have a keen intuition and a highly imaginative and creative mind that "sees" things the average person isn't attuned to.  You would be interesting at a party, that's for sure.  Wanna come for dinner? ;) ;D

Thanks for reading some of my work. I feel that is inappropriate leaving this material here and have been feeling uncomfortable about it.

Hey, Ernie sat near Stephen King at a basketball game not too long ago.  Maybe he can put in a good word for you  ;D

It was a baseball game actually.  He's quite the Red Sox fan and can be found at Fenway now and then.
