Hi, all-
I'm considering going to LA to see a special neurofeedback provider in Beverly Hills. She is now treating "a famous actor" who has dizziness post-AN surgery. I think we know who it is!

The larger part of this expense for me is hotel. Does anyone live in the vicinity who knows of low-cost places to stay, or, a bolder question, who would be willing to rent a room to my sister and I to stay in for 2 weeks while I get treatment?

I used to live there and I would strongly consider the arrangement. I have a friend that would probably let you, near Marina Del Rey but, I don't know how big her appartment is right now or if her roomie is still there. She is the nicest gal in the world and a good friend. She just retired in the dental field. I know her way back in my dental days of LA. Good luck on that........as, I'm way up north almost near Oregon compared to B.H., now.

Palace, if you think your friend is an option, I would be forever grateful if you could find out. I would be willing to rent her room if it's open....

why dont you call the seton Inn at st vencent hospital they charge 50 a night, and you could both stay there..

Fifty a night, you can't really beat that.

One thing though, my friend fell on a tennis court and got a concussion. She is still taking therapy herself but, doing well.
This would be a "long-shot," so.......keept trying but, I will keep it in mind. She is a fabulous person! (caring type but, she is the patient, this time) I didn't hear from her over the holiday so, I don't know how she is recovering right now. The last time we talked, she was doing much better. She had a roomie.

Anyway, it will work-out.......always does!

Thanks, Linda! Seton Inn, don't know if they'll let me stay there if I'm not doing treatments at St. Vincents. May be worth a try!

Palace, tough go for your friend. You're right, wouldn't want to impose, but thanks for thinking of me.

Nan food for thought....I know when I go to tampa they have a host of hotels who offer lower rates for patients. You might want to check around the area you're talking and see if that is a possibility. Steton hall I think would be willing to accodomadate you it they are not too full for their patients but if they say no ask them if they know of other hotels in the area willing to offer cheaper accommodations.

Heck I'd let you and sis stay with me..only it would be a long long commute!

Yeah, I mentioned his name and all she said was, "You're really close!" Except he lives in VA. Also had his surgery 4 years ago. If he's still dizzy, then I don't feel bad!
