I wish you a ton of luck my friend.  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I'm so happy you like the "vampire" thing  ;D  HeHeHe....my sarcasm has gotten me into loads and loads of trouble with my energy sucking vampires.  Humour is only acceptable if they are trying to be funny.  Sarcasm just comes so naturally to me.....hehehe......especially when dealing with "vampires".

Waiting for your update,

OK, ye wenches and swashbucklin' scallywags, here be the updated on Capt Deb's battle wiv the dreaded "C" Monster:

The new ENT surgeon is Charlotte was GREAT!  Very tiny fingers like my wench dentist.  She was a little appalled at me not having a needle biopsy done so I wouldn't have to go through 2 surgeries, like I'm having to do.  She also looked at the 3 1/2 in scar on my neck and said it was caught in the muscle and that was why it was crooked and quite noticable.  She said she would not only take my thyroid out with a 1 1/2 incision, but she would go in and fix the scar that the other surgeon had made.

The lesson in this is that I will NEVER be treated for anything other than a small boo boo in my local hospital again.  Third strike, you're out!!!  Punctured lung, torn sacroiliac joint capsule from 4 hr hysterectomy, and now this!!!!

I won't have a surgery date till next week, but it looks like sometime in mid Oct.  Meanwhile I will stay on the happy pills (Klonipin) and try to amuse myself.

Thank you so much for all your well wishes and concern--it means so much to me, especially from those folks I got to meet up with at the last symposium.  I hope some of you that I have gotten to know online can make the next one or else, when I am feeling better, I will have to hunt you down and hug you to death.

Love and Kisses,

Capt Deb

PS  All those support group meeting announcements need their own section--don't you agree?  They are hogging the Front Page!

Hi Capt Deb,

So glad you liked your new ENT and that she will correct previous problems for you! You're in my thoughts and prayers for
a fast recovery and may this be the last of your torment! Say, can she excise your headaches, while she's in there?
Blessings to you,
Jackie

Capt. Deb,
I just know you are going to come out on top of this thing, like the Unsinkable Molly Brown that you are.  My prayers are being added to all the others, and it looks like your dr. is already an answered prayer.  Keep your pirate flag flying!

Hi Capt. Deb,

I haven't been around for a while and am sorry to hear you have another battle to fight.  Arrgh!  I'm very glad to see that you still have your fighting spirit and know that you will come through this stronger than ever.  I agree about going to Vegas when you can.  The way you've been beating the odds you should clean up!  Hang in there and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers too.

It's good to have a plan in place with a doctor you trust. Nice that she is willing to fix the scar left behind by a less conscientious colleague. I did not know Klonopin was a happy drug. It just made me stupid.

Keep that Jolly Roger flying.

Well, I said I would try to amuse myself didn't I?  I ordered some CRAZY shoe paint and attacked two pairs of my favorite old clogs.  My scuffed burgundy Naots are now a loverly shade of bright purple with a stripe of darker metallic purple across the edge that goes across the foot.  The icky puke green Keens are now a wild "Emerald City" dimensional metallic that I may have to rethink, (I have lots of paint) Now I need a new "victim" to paint a bright turquoise--maybe my black Clarks.
I'm just getting started and have glue for crystals,  flowers, trim, etc. No more boring black and brown shoes for this wench!! Just the thing to take my mind off all this crap I'm dealing with!!
