Jan...add me to the list when you come to Texas....we should all be able to show you a great time!  We are in different parts of Houston...I am closest to Galveston, Priscilla isn't too far North of me, Pooter and Patrick are North of us and Kay is kind of the Northern most part of the Southwest...kind of..............do I have you confused?  I have lived in each of their areas.:-)

Brenda -

will definitely add you to the list; would love to meet you - and everyone else in the area.

Am leaving for Seattle in the morning on business, but once I get back, the kids are in school, and life slows down a little bit I hope to make some definite plans to visit Texas.

I'm hopeful that Lori will be able to join me; James should be off the ship at some point and I think she deserves a vacation  ;D

This is definitely starting to sound like a party in the planning! What fun to think about all the possibilities...and major mischief  ::) ::)
Come one, come all, but wait until the weather starts to cool off.  It is hotter than a hot pepper right now.

Today was the 1st day that I REALLY noticed the heat - I was out running errands all day and registering the girlies for their new schools...I really wish I was just hanging out in the pool!  I really dread next week now - I am going to be a counselor at church camp outside San Antonio and I bet it will be hotter than blue blazes!!  All the buildings are supposed to be ACed though so it should be OK - at least I get to be with the girlies.  THEN we get to cool off and be pampered at the Lazy River at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort!  Thank goodness for wonderful (& generous) in-laws - esp. when we are so stressed about our house not selling yet!

K   ;D

PS - Did I put on here that some guy has been interested enough to ask for the deed restrictions - he wants to build a shop - AND came back to the Open House for an hour?  It is a single man (really 4 bedrooms?) and the 3 car garage is not enough for him...kind of spooky but I don't care as long as it sells!!   ???

Do you think that our mystery man might be serious?  We can put up with him being eccentric as long as he buys the house!

If he wants to open a shop he may need the garage space for something other than cars. Wonder what kind of business?

So what's wrong with this picture? Sweet Priscilla is at my new house with my sweet, little mama working & I am on the Forum!! Crazy! Ok, really I'm in the pick-up line waiting on the girlies!

After many sleepless nights & harrowing days, we finally are owners of a new house. We had a LOT of trouble with our loan, even though we'd done EVERYTHING they asked (it's a long story & if you really want to hear it, PM me). Our house is beautiful & I think we will be very happy here. Someday soon I will be announcing a Houston get together at my house...HOWEVER, I have to have my stuff. Did I mention that the moving truck broke down??  It was supposed to be here today!  Trying to have a good attitude!  At least it gave us a day to line shelves & do other errands!
Thanks Ms. Priscilla for all your help!

Kay ~

Congratulations on getting your new house!  Sorry about the hassles - but you seem to be shining through, as usual!

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Yeah, Kay's finally in the new house, albeit without furniture at the moment!  What a relief it will be to have it all in and done ...... whew, you've had quite a ride these past six months!

Best thoughts.

The house is so-o-o-o-o lovely.  I am suffering from a fatal case of cabinet envy because Kaybo has SO MANY in her kitchen! Now we just have to find a home for everything when it finally arrives.  I had a wonderful visit w/Kay and her sweet mom....after I got very lost trying to follow the Google directions.  It would have been nice if they had told me to turn right on Hwy. 6, a MAJOR road!! :-\  Bad directions, Google. Now I know the way and it is just one hour from her front door to mine.

Congrats, Kaybo!

I'm glad you've finally moved into your new home and hope you, Dave, and the girlies will all be VERY happy there.

The 2013 symposium should be in Houston so we can all stay at Kaybo's house.
