To begin with I know my mom is gonna read this as soon as she gets home  :)  I just wanted to let everyone know that I could never thank all of you enough for the positive thoughts, emails and wishes that you are sending to my parents. Knowing that you all are here for my mom and dad means alot to me. Thank you so much!!!!

My dad has his first radiation treatment later this afternoon but right before that i do believe he now has an appointment with the oncologist. Also, between this afternoon and tomorrow we will have his hospital bed delivered so he can be even more comfortable while sleeping and relaxing.

Amy, my dear sister in Chiari Crime, it is SO good to hear from you. Rumor has it that a special huggle was delivered to you yesterday from me (thanks Gennysmom!) and know that we are here for you all.  We await the updates and are cheering you all on!  Special thoughts/wishes/huggles sent your way.

Please give Aaron a special hug from me too.

Hope you are feeling well.....hopefully, one day soon, you and I will be able to speak as well.

Hello all, I got an early morning call from Amy...Chet's in the hospital weak and vomiting, probably from the treatment, but they're running tests to check....another pirate sock day.  Will update ASAP.

Hi All. Its Amy. As you read my dad was transported to the local hospital at about 1am this morning. It was a rough night prior to him being taken in. (Major headache, weakness and vomiting). My dad was admitted into his room at about 9am this morning and he will be there for a few days. It does look like it was a combination of dehydration, weakness from treatments, and they noticed in his x-rays that he has pneumonia starting in his left lung. They are treating him with antibiotics, pain med, and a mild sedative so he is resting. I know my mom will fill in the blanks in here that i missed when she comes home. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!!

Chet, Raydean and Amy,
  What a rough time for you all. I've been keping updated more on email than the forum.  Praying for you all for the strength you need to get through this. your dad's been through allot, he needs to rest. I'm so glad you are able to be there with them both. your mom needs your support now. Hugging you all form Utah, Your in my prayers every morning and every night. Wish there was more I could do from afar.
