Dernit!  Someone find the beans.. after all those 'brelly drinks and rum, I can't see straight to save my life.  Wait, perhaps I lost my contacts in the shuffle?  :)

Great poem, btw..

Sue,

Interesting names are a plenty at the moment. My wife works at the War Widows Guild (Oz looks after their war widows very well). Anyway, there were two registrations for a function from a Mrs Burger and a Mrs Onions. I hope they don't sit at the same table!!!!!

There is a guy at my work called Abraham Tind..k. Policewoman girly would censor that one so i had to put a couple a dots in.

The Olympics are always good but i must say that 16 days is enough. maybe the crew of the PBW could enter the London games - now lets see, what event could we enter, mmmm. chocolate eating comp, poem writing, I know - wet t shirt competition - could be fun judging ;D ;D ;D

Well, I tell you, we about fell off of our couches/chairs last night when we saw the hand off to London.  The Mayor of London looked a bit out of place or something.  The other two men are all spit and polish and then in comes an everyday kind of bloke, with his hands in his pockets, coat unbuttoned, floppy haired, goofy grin, just like he'd maybe indulged in a pint or two before the flag handoff.  It was hilarious.  I thought, well, okay...it's going to be a whole lot different in 4 years!  What a hoot. For some reason I could hear the Queen's voice saying...."Oh, Phillip, do remind me to tell the Lord Mayor of London to button up that jacket!"  :D :D

So, anyway, if we head of the Thames in our precious PBW, do we we wear our dress pirate duds or will our regular clothes do?

Ha

Formal attire for the crew of the PBW be birthday suits

If this boat is still sailing in 4 years, we will do a trip down the Thames and I'll do one of my famous dives off the chandellier. Oh, sorry, thats the Yooteee's job. Incidentally young yodelayhoo hoo did your cape get caught?

In your dreams.  Oh, wait, this is a dream.  In that case, whose body would you have???? :-* :-* :-*

I'd have Misty May's.  She's made a gazillion bucks playing beach vollyball and has a cute tight tuchus and her chest doesn't get in the way or fall out of her bathing suit when she body surfs like mine does. HA!

A Poem To Instill FEAR!  ;)

Laz is back and kicking rears,
Says we gotta change the gears,
No more playing on the beach,
No more rum umbrelly drinks.

No more Limbo, no more fun,
No more soaking up the sun,
Time to get the crew on board,
That last beer has been poured.

Avast, me hearties, hit the deck,
You'll not want Laz to wring your neck!
He’s a mean one, from clear Down Under,
He just loves to pillage and plunder.

Set the sails and man that jib,
Swab the decks,  and don’t be glib,
Cap’t Deb will soon be here,
Hey, Laz, is this enough “fear?

Thank you, Capt. Deb!

Well, Cap't, Laz was just disgusted with the whole bunch of us having a beach party, I guess, and he was trying to get us ship-shape for our dear Captain, who really cracks the cat-o-nine-tails when the mood strikes.  *ouch, by the way*

So, now that we're all on deck, scrubbing and cleaning up the ship, mending the sails, managing the hangovers, tending to any sunburns,  scaling the fish that we caught, and re-stocking the supplies - - now what do we do?

Laz, ya scared us into submission!  The Cap't is milling about.  Where are we off to now?  Should we go to the Arctic and save the Polar Bears?  Might be a bit dicey on board ship with polar bears running around.  Should we sail for the South African coast and watch the Great White Sharks trolling for seals?  oooo, scary!  Do we vote for the little girl on America's Got Talent who beat up all the pirates?  Should we head for that area of the Pacific where all the flotsam and jetsam gathers in large floating garbage dumps and do a little cleanup?  We might as well throw in a little civic duty before we pillage and plunder somethin'.  We don't have to tell the Brotherhood of Dastardly Pirates that we be good hearted at times.  Or maybe, we go back to the island for the Labor Day Weekend! 8)  Deb and Phyl want to practice their beach volleyball skills some more.  Take on those American champions.  Teach those long legged skinny girls some skills!   ;)

Have a good week everyone, and a great weekend.  Go out there and grill somethin'!
