Hello all,

Some of you know I was able to go see Chet and family at home yesterday.  They're still struggling to get him and the routine settled, but are getting there.  He's in his hospital bed, propped up, spoiled with any TV he wants....he's confined to bed now with hospice coming in daily and the sponge bath nurse coming in 3x a week.  He's not able to really talk, but did give me a hello wink and although medicated, cognizant of the world around him.  The family is really rallying together to make this time good for him.  They obviously have a lot of love for this great man and they're letting him know that.  We got Raydean out for lunch and tried to make her laugh a little...which kinda worked.  Keep the prayers coming for them, and as always, contact me if you'd like to know where to send cards and help.  Thank you!!!

A big Hug to Raydean, Chet, Amy and the rest of the family--know you are much loved from afar. There are so many of us very indebted to both of you for your support of us during our AN journeys. I hope you feel the love and support from all of us that you have met through this incredible resource of the ANA, (God Bless 'em!!!!)We are so glad Chet and Raydean got to know some of you in the flesh as well, from the great Seattle AN Brunch.

Keeping in touch via email chain,  prayers, socks, and all, Keeping  Chet comfy and with family is so important. So glad he is at home.
 I pray that the family feels the loving presence of those who hold them in their hearts and prayers, and that they be filled with comfort, love, strength, and a lasting sense of peace.

I've just called my oldest 2 children home, Amy is in route to pick up my oldest daughter.  Damon is driving home now.  Now it's time to share with our AN family.  This is probably one of the hardest posts that I've ever written.  Chet is declining on a daily basis and we will soon be at the end, probably by this week end.  My main goal now is to keep him comfortable and to surround him with love.  We will keep him home till that time with all family members present.

Thank you for the many positive thoughts,prayers  for your love.
