Wait a minute...FatHead???  I couldn't imagine who that was posting!

Glad you made it to and from the mailbox safely!  It gets easier each time.  I tried to only go straight for the first few times I drove - no backing up or lefthand turns - took me awhile to get back home with those limitations, though :D

Don't forget your naps...well, as soon as you get off those steroids so you can sleep,

Cindy

It was a little boring, and the steroids have got me bouncing off the walls.

Just woke up from an hour nap and feeling much better.

Thanks.  I think spring is really getting to me, too.  The winters up here are very trying.

See you soon.

LOL...welcome to the forum fathead.... ;D

I had a point where I was having a real problem driving. I remember how good it felt to get over that hump.

Congrats, Nancy!!!  Your progress is terrific....just be prepared to slow down a bit after you're off the steroids!!  I'm 4 months post-op and my driving is almost normal but I really have to concentrate on not looking at things off the road for more than a second or two...if I look longer, I veer toward it!!!  Night driving is the biggest challenge for me - when you're up to it...toss a quick night drive in just for fun!!!!

Take care,

Kathy

Grats on the drive Nancy (Can I still call you Nancy?)

I am not having any issues with driving at night.  I am still having issues during the day though :).  It's actually related to the amount of traffic on the road more than anything else.  Left turns onto busy 4 lane roads are still killing me.  Looking left and right rapidly, waiting for all the traffic to be gone makes me so light-headed, I feel like I'm going to pass out  :o

I'm guessing it's not going to get better, so I just deal with it.

Don't give up the ship just yet.

Chances are pretty good it will get better in time.  At least in my experience.

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Hi Nancy.

Sounds to me that you have the most famous "I just survived brain surgery and I'm feeling great"-syndrome ;D Enjoy it....
Congratulations on making a drive as well. An important step towards feeling normal again.

Best regards, Kenneth

Indeed you are.  There are lots of us "special" people on the forum.  My kids got a real kick out of calling me fat head post op, so I let them.

Others might see that as bad parenting, but what can I say.  It's true  ::)

I thought that was how everyone in FL drives.
