And the results are . . .
« on: April 15, 2011, 09:43:53 pm »
Had my 4th annual post op MRI yesterday afternoon and got a phone call from my doc this evening that everything is a-okay.

As he put it, "good news"  ;D

This was the first time I've had my MRI where not only the nurse who took me to the room, but the tech who did the MRI, knew what a BAHA was.  I didn't have to explain it, I didn't have assure them it was okay for me to have an MRI with it, etc.  I was very pleasantly surprised.

As I told my doc "progress".

Jan
Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Congratulations, Jan!

Always good to learn of another AN surgery patient that has consistently clear MRI results.  The MRI staff being informed about BAHAs shows that they must be seeing more of them - or they're just a very astute staff.  Either way, I'm glad the MRI went well and the result was what we all want. ...no growth.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
