« on: June 09, 2009, 04:11:38 pm »
I was just wondering if anyone had a problem with dizziness before their surgery, and if it got any better afterwards?  I am having such dizziness, my surgery is still about two weeks away...just wondering if it will get any better....

Hi,
I hope you dizziness will go away after surgery. I didn't have any dizziness before surgery but in Sweden the doctors try to "kill" the balance nerve before surgery by giving you injections in the ear. I didn't work all the way for me - in spite of the injections I had 40% balance left when I went into surgery. I'm three weeks post-op and after surgery I was dizzy, but it's much better now. I try to do my vestibular exercises as often as I can and it helps a lot.

All the best to you from Helene  :)
