Looks like "Watch&Wait" is over for me...
« on: March 31, 2013, 12:36:49 pm »
Got my 2nd MRI in the mail yesterday. In 5 months my AN has gone from 6.6X5.0X3.7 to 9.3X5.0X5.2. Will be calling the specialists tomorrow...Feeling scared, but also a little relieved that the decision has been made for me, I think...

Jeez, I hope that's mm and not cm.
 ;D

Anyway, assuming it's mm, same thing happened to me. First MRI April 2012 my AN was 3mm x 4mm x 9mm. Second MRI October 2012 my AN was 4mm x 4mm x 11mm.

Comparing the two images it didn't look much different until it dawned on me that the growth rate was 20% in 6 months.

Now if my money could grow like that in 6 months I'd be ecstatic.

Not so with a tumor. That's when I decided death to ALF.

Will be calling the specialists tomorrow...Feeling scared, but also a little relieved that the decision has been made for me, I think...

Keep us posted. You'll get plenty of support here.

PS: If you are considering GK as one of your options( I'm not pushing it) and aren't satisfied with local options, you're only a short flight from Phoenix. Check out the Barrow Acoustic Neuroma Center:

Porter, Weisskoph and Brachman made up my team.
