These are the various eyewear options I have tried over the past three months:

The original pirate patch worn to protect my eye at night.
I also wore it quite a bit during the daytime at first, with Refresh PM ointment on my eye.
On the plus side, it is cheap and kept my eye comfortable.
Negatives included looking very bad and no depth perception.

My first moisture control goggles.
They are ugly and not very comfortable.
Note how the foam inserts don't stay in place very well.
I use these now for safety glasses.

PanOptx moisture control goggles.
They work much better than the white pair.
I use these quite often.
The lenses get a little darker in direct sunlight, but aren't quite dark enough.
They are available at www.7eye.com. This pair is from the clearance section.
My exercise buddies call them my "Elastigirl" glasses.

I used these very lightly tinted sunglasses when I had my BlinkEze external eyelid weight,
because it looked like I had a little bandaid stuck in my eyelashes.
I received many compliments on the glasses and nobody noticed the BlinkEze.

My niece picked out these bling sunglasses for me.
They are pink and sparkly.
Who could ask for more?

Dr. Neely gave me this eye shield.
It gives the best all-around vision and can be worn under sunglasses or reading glasses.
Very high dork factor though.

Pink onion goggles from amazon.com.
These are great low-cost moisture chamber goggles.
They were designed to keep the wearer from crying while chopping onions.
Buy the pink ones and contribute to breast cancer research!

Pink onion goggles !!  You look great!!!  Thanks for sharing.  I told Debbi the look has to be patented or trademark protected.   The Paris Hilton types are going to runaway with this and make lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sara,

I love the pictures!  Your write ups crack me up!  And I have to agree with your exercise buds - they DO look like Elastigirl's glasses!  You must be a superhero! :D

And I have to tell you, when I first saw your picture, I thought I was looking at a picture of one of my closest friends!  Well, I don't think she has pink onion goggles...but other than that, you two could be twins!

Lori, they first started calling me Elastigirl when I started training with them for a 5K run. I bought a pair of really spif compression tights. My gosh do they hold it in. Spandex is a miracle fabric for sure. The goggles are just more fuel for their fun.

I am hoping to see some other people post some cool eyewear photos in this thread. Anyone?

Sara -

love the pictures!  I'm partial to the "Elastigirl" ones - IMO, very chic  :)

Sara~
I was thinking Elastigirl before I even read that -- I think that Lori & I probably are on OVERLOAD for Disney movies/cartoons!!!  You are really getting into this picture thing - thanks for sharing!  I don't have any pictures to share b/c I don't do anything special for my eye.  When I have surgery again, I can put up the "bruised" pictures.  If you want to see scary pictures, you can go to my blog & look at the end of March & see the ones of me after my T3 surgery!!  YIKES!!
