Laz,
Please take the helm, and I'll escort the Capt back to her cabin, before she runs us aground.
Rob

Now this here Captain does have a history of running the goods ship PBW aground - I think it's between pages 40 and 50 somewhere! I also seems to remember getting hit over the back of the head with a very long baseball bat following that episode.

The crew thinks Capt that ye might deserve a holiday owing ta the defeat of the ugly sea monster that threatened the good ship PBW with a scud misile. Fortunately, our dear parrot came to the rescue and the good ship PBW "chucked a uee" (pronounced youee)- turned around on the spot and the misile seemed toa have a boomerang attached to it and it reversed and blew its sender outa the water.

So Captain, ya crew is offerin ya three wishes of yer choice ta celebrate. what be they?

1. No more headaches
2. A balance nerve
3. A left ear that did more than hold up an earring
4. A Million dollars, no 10 million dollars

In that order.

Laz,
Perhaps we should go to Haiti and find a NeuroVoodooist for the capt, so she can have some of her wishes

PS I'll see if I can find the ship's chicken, we may need it.

Scurvy mates,
Anyone heard from Pluto?  The poor guy is probably depressed.  Can you imagine what it would be like being demoted after 87 years of being recognized as a full blown Planet.  I hear all of his previous annual reviews have been rated “Out of this Worldâ€?.  He’s probably trying to decide if he likes it enough in the Solar system to stick around anyway, or wonder off to some new planetary system willing to recognize his stature.

In college, at 41, I elected to have astronomy as my science elective--boy it was hard--lots of math I hadn't done since grade 10, but I loved it!  Fell in love with the stars on many a night watch out in the middle of the ocean. I feel so sorry for poor Pluto, too. Deeeee-moted he be, he be! We needs ter have a party fer him! and a PBW holiday from all shipboard duties cept fer Mr GM. I'm paintin' me toenails black in mourning.

That's the West Indian way--any excuse for a party.  Dis be Pluto Demotion Day.  There are 32 official bank holidays in the VI. Just about one a week. I just love the culture down there. Any excuse to make a bunch of food, grab a few bottles o' rum or whatever, take it to the beach, and jus' be limin', mon!! Let's have the party here:

Gennysmom's Favorite Beach!:
Hawksnest, St. John

a favorite with the locals and great snorkling.

Whatcha think?

This crawled over to here from the Parrothead thread.
Since we are in the Virgins, I though you'd enjoy the lyrics to "One Particular Harbor" by Jimmy Buffet (who else?)
The language is Tahitian and means
"Bounty of the land is exhausted
But there's still abundance in the sea."

Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei
Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei

I know I don't get there often enough
But God knows I surely try
It's a magic kind of medicine
That no doctor could prescribe

I used to rule my world from a pay phone
Ships out on the sea
But now times are rough
And I got too much stuff
Can't explain likes of me

Chorus:
But there's this one particular harbour
So far but yet so near
Where I see the days as they fade away
And finally disappear

But now I think about the good times
Down in the Caribbean sunshine
In my younger days I was so bad
Laughin' about all the fun we had

I seen enough to feel the world spin
Mixin' different oceans meetin' cousins
Listen to the drummers and the night sounds
Listen to the singers make the world go 'round

(pan solo)

Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei
Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei

Lakes below the mountain
Flow into the sea
Like oils applied to canvas
They permeate through me

And there's that one particular harbour
Sheltered from the wind
Where the children play on the shore each day
And all are safe within

Most mysterious calling harbour
So far but yet so near
I can see the day when my hair's full gray
And I finally disappear

Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei
Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei

Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei
Ia ora te natura (Ua pau te maitai no te fenua)
E mea arofa teie ao nei

Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei
Ia ora te natura (Ua pau te maitai no te fenua)
E mea arofa teie ao nei, hey now, hey now, hey now

Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei

I like Cinnamon, but Maho is a lil more comfy--gotta have my fan in the tent! $75.00 a night for a big roomy tent for 2 or 3 with fridge, stove, a fan and a little deck. Le' we go now!
Hey, we gotta new crewmember!!!

Again Deb thanks for the info.  and for the support BP,  can I, can I, can I please get on your ship and wear pirate socks and sail off into the sunset of one of those beautiful pictures Deb posted???  Of course I want to travel headache free

Patti UT wantsta sign on! We gotta find her a job--"Keeper of the Olives and Pearl Onions" is already taken by Peanut.  Did we give "Picker of the Limes" to her too? We may need to take that one back and give it to Patti UT!!! Unless she wants to be "Maker of the Conch Fritters." What we really need is a "Swatter of the Evil Headache Fairy."

Capt Deb 8)

I really need more "uniforms"--start scouring the Wallyworld near you, Wenches!!!
