Symposium ?
« on: September 30, 2006, 01:56:13 pm »
The Acoustic Neuroma Association will present its 18th National Symposium July 13-15, 2007 at The Doubletree Hotel Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Who is going? .. so far I'm planning to be there  ;D I wont be staying at Doubletree as my parents are only a hour or so outside of Philly ... anyone know details of events or Dr.'s going to be there?

I had my surgery at house 1 month before you had yours. Same doctors
I saw that you were just getting some movement in your face. I have just started to get some as well. I was interested in your baha as I havent even been offered that option by Dr. Brackman. Did you have to ask or did they bring it up as a treatmant? Dr. B want to do the hypoglossal surgery on me but I dont want to do it.  I actually feel like I am getting some facial healing and know the surgery will end any chance of my nerve healing on its own. I m sorry if Im on the wrong thread, I dont always understand how this forum works.

I just felt that our situations were similiar.

Thanks
cush

Joef didn't you get the memo...we're boarding up the BPW and heading for your parents house :o)  We thought we could all stay with you there  ;D  There are quite a few of us trying to go but being out of work I know for me I'm waiting until it's closer before I make definite plans.  It will be great to meet everyone!

My husband and I are going and extending our stay for a vacation.

Joef, I can't wait to meet your parents, hope they have enough space for all of us ;) and place to dock the PBW

I saw in the current issue of ANA notes that more info about the symposium will be in the December issue

I'm hoping to convince hubby to make a family vacation of it.  There's tons to do in the area with small children, so it's a great excuse!  And my parents are just a couple hours south of Philly, so they could join us for part of it.

Still in the planning stages, though.  DH does *not* like travel, so I have to work on him for a few months before making any definite plans!   ;)

SERIOUSLY THINKING OF GOING. CAP'N DEB SAID THAT DOUBLETREE HAS SOME SUITES THAT SLEEP 6. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT GETAWAY "BREAK" FROM THE FAMILY. BUT MAYBE I NEED TO LOOK AT MAKING IT A FAMILY VACATION.  EITHER WAY, I'D LIKE TO GO AND CHECK OUT ALL THE HEARING DEVICES.

I'm definitely going, but I need a roomie to share my hotel room (NO, Laz! )as I don't know if Dr. Love will be joining me, although I may try to talk him into it as there will be other spouses there for him to play with and the Phila Museum of Art is there.  Unless I can crash with RTDale and the other 10 people staying with him!!! Doubletree is posh!! Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, etc.
