left side AN-post radiosurgery 5 years
« on: August 15, 2012, 12:17:44 pm »
Does anyone have any residual pain this far out? I have intermittent pain and numbness that runs the length of the entire left side of my body, wrist, hand, neck, leg, toes, fingers...I had a 8 mm AN (left side) that I chose to have radio surgery done in Madison WI in 2005...could this possibly be related?

Hi, Meg ~

I'm sorry to learn about your pain issue at 5 years post-op.  I suspect your pain is not related to the AN or the surgery but that is really a question for your doctor, who knows your medical history and can order any necessary tests to determine the actual cause of your radiating pain.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
