My mother was diagnosed with AN about 6 months ago. T|he doctor said that the tumor was small, and they would keep an eye on it and do another MRI in November.

Since then, she has had a few issues of her face twitching and feeling distorted for about 30-45 seconds.

She has also had a couple instances where she has lost balance for about a minute.

I'm just wondering what you guys thought of this, and what you might suggest she can do at this point.

She's 67, and the doctor said that based on the size of the tumor, and he age, they do not want to do the surgery.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly in advance :)

Damien,

I responded to your other post.  I wonder if she has a facial neuroma.  I have a facial neuroma and I experience daily what she experiences.  It is annoying no doubt.  I would be worried if her face distorts and does not return to a normal position.  Her and I are experiencing hemifacial spasms.  I find when I am stressed they are more frequent and intense.
