Facial Movement
« on: March 11, 2010, 05:20:57 pm »
Oh my gosh... I'm almost afraid to say it because I feel like it's not gonna work the next time I do it!

The left corner of my mouth voluntarily moves without a doubt. 19 months after my surgery/paralysis and 9 months after my 7/12 jump. It didn't do anything yesterday and now it moves like 1-2% of the way. This is the best day I've had in a long time... let's hope for more!

Time to celebrate!
8/4/2008 - Pilocytic astrocytoma removed
9/21/2008 - 1.0g Gold weight
6/24/2009 - 7/12 Graft + 1.6g Gold weight
Balance/Dizziness: From 0% to 75%
Double Vision: From 0% to 70%
Facial Paralysis: Corner of mouth just started moving a bit

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
