Getting other opinions and as much informaiton as you can about your AN is the way to go.  My neurotologist practically insisted I get as much information, including having other consultations,  as possible in order to make an informed decision regarding treatment.   That is one of the many reasons I like him so much.  Whether you get BAHA or TransEar is a personal choice  and I won't push one over the other but if you don't already have the websites for them the are TrasEar.com and for BAHA,  entific..com.    Check them both out and discuss them with whomever else you see.  Either would be a  good choiceif you don't think you can deal with the possibility of being SSD.
