laugh for the day....
« on: November 24, 2006, 07:31:27 pm »
Hi Everyone:

I am reading some back issues of ANA Notes and had to share this with you.

This from March 2004 issue:

Medical Aspects Of Acoustic Neuroma Surgery - What to expect before and after by Michael R Stefan, MD

(he answers many of the usual questions, when can I drive, when can I blow my nose, why does food not taste right etc..) then:

Q   When can I have sex?
A   Please wait until you leave the hospital

I laughed my butt off.   ;D Kathy

PS:  To all Newbies, you can order back issues of "Notes" for free if you are a member of ANA.  Just click on the Acoustic Neuroma Association logo at the top.  You can also join for $35.00 a year and you will recieve "Notes" four times a year.

I remember reading that in the ANA notes and thought it was hilarious.

One of my friends is a nurse and has told me many interesting :o stories about patient's "activities".

I was warned about straining, lifting, heavy hiking, sitting on toilet etc. post op for about 3 weeks.

I suppose sex might cause csf to leak all over the place. :D
I go to the chopblock at SBI this Mon.

It had to be much later than after I left the hospital for me, as the motion  literally made me sick to my stomach because of the dizzyness, vertigo, balance.   "Not now hun, it makes me sick"
