Bunny Boiler ?
« on: January 31, 2008, 11:57:57 am »
Full pre-op the other week - went on for four hours...
Eventually it came to the bit where a certain degree of disrobing was required
OK I said to the nurse - but you might want to shut the door first
(folk had been tripping in and out every 5 mins till then)
Well, she did shut it , and then bolted it too !
I was all set up for the "punch-line" and then realised
they must all get pretty sick of the usual mid-life-crisis cries for attention
So I said nothing....
 - In a flash I changed my expression to :
PANIC, FEAR, HORROR - OH NO, RUN, She is a Bunny Boiler !
She glanced back, and howled with laughter....
arms around me "its OK mate  - I am not going to kill you !"
(Clue -Bunny Boiler - Fatal Attraction - Glen Close invented a new
recipe for Rabbit Stew, using the house hold pet)
Anyway it brightened up the Nurses day...
Best Regards
Tony

Tony,

now THAT is funny!  Heck, I got the humour on that one and didn't even have to consult with my bloke! :)

Well, if it brightened the nurse's day, did it brighten your's? :)

If you can create mayhem
- just by non-verbal communication
You are not doing so bad ?

Okay it took me a moment and I' am glad for the explianation- I was thinking more on the lines of Wallice and Gromet- Were rabbit...

Man Fatal Attraction was a scary movie.  The rabbit scene total nightmare... and then the final scene, I was with a girlfriend and shouted out "OH F...." really loudly.

That movie still freaks me out Dude! you were lucky I wasn't the nurse, I would have gone psyco on you!  thanks for the laugh- Annie

Tony:

Thanks for the smile from your amusing account of your pre-op exam/prep.  I got the 'bunny boiler' reference straight away.  I'm glad the nurse saw the humor in the situation.  I trust all was well with the exam/prep and you're good to go.

I can almost see the look on the nurses face!  It was definitely my crooked smile for the day!
Thanks,
