Thanks for the link.  Yes, KOMO (Seattle, WA) reporter Kathi Goertzen's AN story is one many here can relate to.  She is handling it well, as most AN patients do but still, dealing with any level of facial paralysis is never easy and when you've been in a position where your appearance is part of the criterion for the job (TV news reporter) the struggle must be even more daunting.  I'm sure Kathi will be O.K.  That she is sharing her experience with the public is admirable.  I hope it serves to both educate and inform people about what, in some cases, having an acoustic neuroma means to the patient.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.
