Hello Captain Deb,

I also think that the tumor has damaged my balance nerve but why now? Yes, I am very willing to work very hard to retrain my brain or legs or whatever I need to do. Pphysical therapy isn't helping. I think the therapists deal with people who feel dizzy and I don't.

Thanks,
Cheers!

Your leg problems could be the AN but it could also be something else........check to see if you have any reflex in your knee area.  Hit that touchy spot on your knee with the edge of a small plate to see if your leg kicks out.  Also, an EMG will show if the nerves are transmitting to the muscles in your legs.

Kathy

ps:  any tingling or numbness on your legs?

I suspect arthritis. I had EMG done on my legs and found that the muscles in my right leg are weak. My knees are painful whenever I go down the stairs or bend my knees. Exercises done with me by a personal trainer tend to be more helpful than physical therapy exercises but the gym exercise are not paid for by insurance.
