I finally got around to reading Francesco's article in the newsletter and all I can say is Bravo!  Job well done!

I especially like the suggestion to doctors about not just giving patients their opinions and recommendations, but fully informing them of all the debates, disagreements, and treatments available.  I was lucky enough to have a neurotologist who believed in "full disclosure" and IMO it's something every patient is entitled to.

Francesco, what a great article! Bravo! Bravo!

Capt Deb

PS We need to get all folks who are attending the symposium solo hooked up with roomies to cut hotel costs.  Who wants to play concierge?

Great idea, Deb - would definitely cut costs.

Is this possible though?  I haven't looked at the hotel "specifics" in a few weeks, but I thought I saw something about king-size beds.

The only time I stayed at The Drake, back when I was married, our room had a king-size bed and a little sitting area that had a couch.  I believe we also had a roll-away bed - since both our children were with us.

Oh, Jan, after a grey goose or two, you won't care about only having a king size bed!   ;)

Oh oh, I feel a virtual slap on the wrist coming...   :o

Jan, I wasn't sure if it would be you or Phyl with the stick!   ;)

I'm more worried about Phyl - she could get her vicious attack dog after me!   :D

I think you should start a new topic for this; this one has quickly headed off in the wrong direction... :o

Sorry, Steve, this is all Lori's fault!  :D  (And I thought Phyl would be the one with the big stick)  ;)

Perhaps we should start a new topic in AN Community since Capt Deb had a great idea.

Because The Drake isn't cheap, and many attendees have transportation costs in addition to the registration fee, sharing rooms is something that a lot of forumites might be interested in.

I'm not playing censor here, but I think the good Captain was talking about same-sex forumites sharing rooms, but hey we're all adults, so I'll just stay out of that issue  :-X

Anyway, my point was I don't know how practical or possible it would be to share a room at The Drake.  From my recollection the rooms typically have a king-size bed and a seating area with a couch.  I don't know if the couch folds out into a bed or not.  My children both tell me it does; I don't remember - but then again, I'm 34 years older than they are  :D

Anyway, want me to start a new topic?  or do you?
