Hi Tatianne,
I had GK just last month. I am 44 years old and chose GK because I had to travel out of state for either CK or GK, so I went with GK because I could have it done in one day. Had there been a faciility close to home where I could have had CK, I would have definately considered it.
My age had nothing to do with my decision, but I do remember when I met with my ENT, that he told me he recommended surgery because I was young enough to recover from the procedure. I really did not want to use up all my vacation and sick time from work in recovery, and did more research into radiosurgery, and the rest is history. This forum was a great source if information for me, and really helped to to make the decision I made.

Age was not a factor for me...I was 42 when I had GK.  I chose GK because I didn't want to go the surgery route (personal choice).

As far as I know there is no age restriction for GK, as a mater of fact I believe that sometimes GK is suggested if a pateient is elderly...

I was also 44 when I was treated with CK. In general , outside of the very young age groups ( aka children), there is no restriction on radiosurgery

Hi Tatianne

I had GK at the age of 57 April  2005. The main reason fror my choice was because it was the easiest option with minmal recovery time which allowed me to carry on enjoying my life as usual .

Regards Kat

Just 35, up here. I certainly feel I made the best choice.
