Great listening device for one sided hearing
« on: December 20, 2006, 02:40:26 pm »
I found a great little device from Sharper Image on Ebay, but am adding a link from Amazon as this one is not refurbished.

I just got it yesterday and can hear voices and noise from my deaf ear side without having to turn my head.  They only run about $20.00.
There is a small microphone about 14" from the one ear bud (speaker) with a collar clip that you can attach to your deaf side and run the wire around your neck and put the ear bud in your good ear ( the earbud does not block your ear canal so you can still hear normal sounds, you kind of hook it in the opening next to your lobe).  It has an equalizer to adjust sound and a volume control, it takes 2 AAA batteries, and you can put it in your pocket or around neck.  I love it and sent for 3 more to leave in the car etc. It will work just fine until I am ready for a Baha.

This is great!  Thanks for sharing.  Better than $2,000!

How deaf is your deaf ear?  Do you have any sound at all?
